Bart J. Schenone joined Temmerman, Cilley & Kohlmann, LLP in 2015 after practicing with Schenone & Peck for 29 years representing clients in the areas of estate planning, trust and estate administration, probate, preparation of fiduciary income tax, gift and estate tax returns, real property transactions, formation of business entities to further estate plans, and advising on property tax, income and estate tax matters. His practice continues in these areas.

Mr. Schenone has been a certified specialist in Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law by the California Board of Legal Specialization of the State Bar of California since 1992 and is rated “AV” by Martindale-Hubbell.

He is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC) and is a Northern California “Super Lawyer”.

Mr. Schenone has been appointed by the court as a fiduciary in various matters, including as a trustee, estate administrator, referee, special master, guardian-ad-litem, judge pro tem, and receiver.

Mr. Schenone is past chair of the Executive Committee for the Trusts and Estates Section of The State Bar of California (2013-2014) and was a member of the Executive Committee from 2006-2017.

Mr. Schenone is co-author of “Administering Insolvent Estates: Squabbling Over the Table Scraps” for Estate Planning, Trust & Probate News, of “Tripping Over the Gopher Holes: An Estate Planner’s Guide to Proposition 13” and of “Alice in Tulsa-Land: The Dobler Effect on Creditors of Revocable Trusts”, for California Trusts and Estates Quarterly; and a co-author of the CEB Action Guide, Handling a Fiduciary Accounting. He is also a consultant for CEB’s California Will Drafting, California Trust Administration, Probate Workflow Manuel, California Decedent’s Estates, and is an update author for California Decedent’s Estates.
